Q MOVIE TIME - get the popcorn! This is a great documentary and a very important one to watch! Your assignment is to watch the video - "Forensics on Trial" and to compose a response using 5 words that describe how the documentary made you feel and describe why. For example - let's say my first word was shocked, and my description of why I was shocked is - I was shocked when I watched the documentary Forensics on Trial because I had no idea how unscientific forensic science is. Then think of another word and type why you feel that particular word describes how you feel and do that for a total of 5 words. Below is the link to the video - it takes about 2 minutes for it to start, just be patient, once you click on the link it will start up itself, after going through several screens. https://laccd.zoom.us/rec/share/ZNOcFkAZ_r7BzdUPgDpV2SlCSIceKf6IG8TokHrnwuv2L3ZEGaIQKulIQHaKNjKu.JlrGAZand-PA80NB

At 4:44, the video states that the forensic techniques are shown to be dangerously flawed. This technique was supposed to be 100% solid, and now it comes into question as if it was never used to put people away in the past 100 years. By the same token, we have been told that we got unique fingerprints, and now we find out that two men, Brandon Mayfield and Ouhnane Daoud, can be taken for the same print. When you realize "that the quality controls and procedures that we usually find in science and in that light forensic science actually can sometimes contribute to wrongful convictions," it just seems crazy.
